Mission Statement

The purpose of the FDC is to enhance the studio director/dance teacher’s competition experience by normalizing rules, simplifying the pre and post competition experience as well as consistently insuring safe and well run events. We serve as a forum for the consistent application of ethical standards relating to competition. These standards are rooted in the best mutual, and not exclusive, interests of all students, parents and studio directors/teachers.

• Events are not scheduled to perform earlier than 7:00 AM on any day and no later than10:30 PM on Sunday nights.

• All national finalists MUST be pre-qualified before the finals.

• Each organization follows its own business practices while still maintaining its own unique identity. These decisions would always be rooted in the belief that the decision is primarily in the best mutual, and not exclusive, interests of student, parent and teacher.
